Announcements[1] Beginning this year, the SBA High School Tournaments proudly announces that it is supporting the DAILY BREAD FOOD BANK. All teams and spectators are encouraged to bring a food item to donate. Spectators making a donation will receive a discount on their admission - $3.00 per day for adults (instead of $4.00) and $1.00 per day for students with I.D. (instead of $2.00) [2] An admission fee of $4.00 per day for adults and $2.00 per day for students with I.D. will be charged prior to entering the tournament venue. [3] Please Note re: Snow Storms Due to the already crowded tournament schedule, the large number of referees involved, and the need to finish all games by late Sunday afternoon, we won't be able to re-schedule any tournament games. Therefore, if there are any teams that are unable to play in a particular game, the result will be a 20-0 default win for the team present. (A double default will be counted as a 0-0 tie.) Obviously, if you are running slightly late due the the weather then you can call a parent that may have arrived at the facility where you are playing and inform them. That person can then inform the facility convenor. As long as it's only a short delay (e.g. 10-15 minutes), starting the game a bit late shouldn't be a problem. Any more than that, however will result in a forfeit.
[4] Please Note re: Arriving for Games Teams should arrive at their game site at least 30 minutes before the time listed on the schedule. Whenever possible games will begin before the times listed. Although the length of the pregame warm-ups will depend on the length of the preceding game, there will be a minimum of 5 minutes to a maximum of 8 minutes. Teams may take the court only after both teams from the preceding game have cleared the court area. Stewart Kerr Tournament Convenor Return to Top
