BLUES Summer "Select Travel" Team Programs

Mission Statement

To lead and inspire, build character and leadership, to provide competition and exposure through high-quality basketball experiences, in a responsible and ethical manner; incorporating both the Canadian Sport for Life's (CS4L) and Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) models.

The Blues Summer "Select Travel" program will offer competitive travel teams for boys in grade 5 to 11. This highly competitive program offers players the tools and settings to further develop their fundamental team basketball skills as well as individual concepts necessary to take their game to the next level.

Season

The Blues Summer "Select Travel" team season primarily runs from April through early August, and will consist of various tournaments in the USA and Ontario. Players will also participate in weekly team practices with our certified and highly trained coaching staff. Tournaments usually occur on weekends in a two-game per day format (2 games Saturday, 2 games Sunday).

Cost

The Blues Summer "Select Travel" team program prides itself on being one of the most affordable basketball programs in all of Ontario. The total cost is determined on a team-by-team basis, depending on the number of tournaments each team attends. Parents are responsible for ALL costs relating to travel. accommodation, meals and entry fees (tournament and site) related to tournaments. Note: The SBA and/or Blues do not assume any responsibilities for additional costs incureed by teams, players. coaches and/or parents during the 2013 summer season.
